Today (the 9th), I had the opportunity to go back to UNIS and spend the day visiting with old friends and teachers. I also met up with a just graduated Vietnamese student- Viet Vu- who volunteered to accompany us on the trip too the orphanage tomorrow. I then was able to play basketball with some of my former teammates. Unfortunately, my phone disappeared in the morning, most likely left in the car that took me to school! Luckily, it was my good friend's car, so I should be able to retrieve it soon. After a very enjoyable and tiring day, I was able to visit a pharmacy and arrange for some of the medicines requested by the Thuy An nurse to be ready for. I also was able to acquire tons of clothing from some donors near my host's home who had been good friends with my family. Later this evening, I made a visit up the street and purchased a several bags of diapers and plan on picking up several more tomorrow morning.
Everything appears to be in order for tomorrow's trip- clothes from Ms. Luyen and donors, diapers to be picked up on the way to UNIS, medical supplies to be picked up too, a Vietnamese translator and a vehicle! Hopefully, we will deliver theses much needed supplies and complete the drip irrigation system by the conclusion of tomorrow's trip.
